1. Scope of Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all healthcare services provided by Chinchpada Christian Hospital, including but not limited to consultations, treatments, surgeries, and diagnostic services.

2. Cancellation Policy

a. Appointment Cancellations:

  • Outpatient Appointments: If you need to cancel or reschedule your outpatient appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
  • Inpatient Admissions: For cancellations of scheduled inpatient admissions or surgeries, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in charges for services prepared or allocated for your care.

b. Emergency Services:

  • Cancellations or changes to emergency services are generally not possible once the service has been initiated due to the urgent nature of care.

3. Refund Policy

a. Eligibility for Refunds: Refunds may be considered under the following circumstances:

  • Overpayment: If a patient or their representative overpays for services, a refund for the excess amount will be issued.
  • Pre-paid Services Not Rendered: If a patient has pre-paid for services that were not rendered due to cancellation by the hospital or a change in the patient’s condition as determined by a healthcare provider.
  • Service Errors: If a patient is charged for services they did not receive or there was an error in billing, a refund may be issued after verification.

b. Non-Refundable Situations:

  • Payments made for completed consultations, diagnostic tests, treatments, and procedures are non-refundable.
  • Charges for consumables, medications, and other materials used during the course of treatment are non-refundable once the service has been initiated.
  • Administrative fees, such as registration or file handling fees, are non-refundable.

4. Refund Process

a. How to Request a Refund:

  • Patients or their representatives must submit a written request for a refund along with proof of payment and any other relevant documents to the hospital’s billing department.

b. Processing Time:

  • Refund requests will be reviewed and processed within 30 days from the date of the request. The refund amount will be credited back to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed upon.
